How Technology Affects Our Society - 1709 Words

In today’s society, the development of the internet has taken over how we interact with others and live our day to day lives. There are many different perspectives on how exactly this new infrastructure effects our society as a whole. Miller asserts the question â€Å"in a world where our interactions are increasingly mediated through online technologies, are we becoming less practiced in the art of face to face conversation?† Other authors and artists of the generation agree with Millers beliefs; however, they discuss them from varying points of view that help us fully formulate an idea of how interconnectedness through technology negatively affects our society. Technology has always been developed with the intent to make life easier and more efficient, however the invention and maturation of social media appears to have only complicated things for those who utilize it in day to day life.
